people who may have had a big injury that would threaten them being able to ride again and still find a way to ride are the coolest people.

very nice thing for you to say! thank you, i really appreciate it. chris ricci really nailed it!

The handling of that machine is seriously tweaked to perfection. There is only so much he can compensate with moving is torso back and forth. Very impressive, he would beat me for sure.

tire pressure, wheel tension, toe in/toe out, tubing wall thickness, cockpit fit, wheelbase length........

they all play a major role in how my ride rips.
its taken a lot of time and some great help from a few people to make it look easy.

plus 16 years of riding the beast.

glad you liked the video.

thank you for your reply. I saw a video of someone riding a quad-bike in the snow, years ago. Maybe it was you, did you land a jump in freezing water?
Anyhow, I was fascinated back then. I just started my mechanical engineering study and was intrigued about the possibilities for a disabled person to ride thát hard.

Trevair lands in the water, you're in the second part.

His machine tracks so well. The frame seems so stable, while the susp. is being put through the meat grinder.... Nice work Stacy, all of your work in both riding and bike building/design really shows.

good ol 4130 cro mo!!!!!!!! thanks for your kind words.
  • + 1
Stacy, that is so freakin' awesome! I saw you last year at Whistler - my 1st visit to the park and I was like - "Holy Shit that dude goes faster than I ever will!"

Curious - do you get a lot of flats - lots of off camber landings and stuff in the video look brutal on tires. How you control that is amazing.
  • + 1
i run pretty high psi, so flats are rare all things considered..........

Wow that looks tricky! Are the wheels (or the monohubs' attachements) meant to flex that much? Is it for the traction or does this kind of vehicle put so much more (torsional) stress on the wheels? I wouldn't want to go OTB on that ride Big Grin
  • + 2
otb is very, very gnarly. so gnarly.
  • + 1
@stacykohut out of curiosity, why are the front wheels smaller than the back? wouldn't you want them to be bigger so they can roll over stuff? idk my theory could be wrong though.
  • + 2
20 inch in the front is waaaay better for cornering and for stiffness. a bigger wheel don't seem to 'cut the corner' as well as the small ones. at least in the fourwheeler. peace
  • + 3
That rig is SO cool! I love seeing you riding... Keep the balls to the wall and the gas pedal on the floor.
  • + 2
If you ever want wheels built, hit me up. I've built nearly 900 in my years and I'd love to build you a set.
  • + 3
His spokes must be screaming. Never seen anyone so pinned on 4 wheel "bike".
