Just eighty-five kilometers (fifty miles) away from Moscow city there is a hill of white, that is absolutely alien to Russian birch-and-oak scenery.

It stands as a tall vertical white wall if to approach it by the road.

On top of the hill one can get by the shiny polished white road made of the same material as a hill itself. The entrance is left unguarded.

Tractor workers who work there tell that if this white snow-like stuff won’t be flattened by tractors in three hours after it appeared there it won’t be flattened ever later because it becomes granite hard.

So what is this ice crystal thing is? Those are wastes from the phosphoric gypsum being produced in nearby plant.

The surface is very hard and you can get on the car right to the edge without risk getting it crushed down.

Some Moscow photographers and artists come to this place for inspiration as it reminds them some outer space landscapes.

They bring aliens with themselves sometimes too, so visiting this place might be entertainment in a numerous ways.

But for those who are not interested in checking aliens backs there are plenty of more hardware to explore, like the bulldozer tractors used to ravage thru the White Hill.

And their big brother, a multi bucket excavating machine standing still bit aside and digging for the tons of sand daily to support the nearby glass bottles producing factory.

    just more example of huge eco distaster that was soviet union
