We’ve seen a lot of nice cars from Russia here already. It’s no secret there a lot of them: a British journalist once said that only in Moscow could he see several Lamborghinis or Ferraris stopped at one traffic light.
So we wondered if this was a cultural thing. First we looked to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, another piece of the USSR that gained its independence not even twenty years ago. While the Ukraine has been less fortunate in terms of natural resources, the stamp of Soviet heritage is strong and many Ukrainians even prefer Russian as their primary language. So we deduced this could mean only one thing—there should be tons of luxury cars there too.
Thus, we set on a brief examination of the streets of Kiev and it looks like we were right: yet another country with an average salary under 25 grand but with cars costing over $200,000.

first!!
How old are you?!
Most of the cars have Jewish owners.
not for long jewboys 🙂
the real UKRanians hate jews from the bottom of our hearts, that is why so many jewish rats left and are fleeing at present moment HAHAAHAAA

RASCIST
Both Moscow and Kiev (and all cities in CIS) : such beautiful cars in so badly maintained streets 🙁 (and I know what I talk about : I sprained both my ankles in holes in Moscow 3 weeks ago…)
what industries do they manage in order to afford nice cars?
@ aravian.
cocaine industries.
Extortion and corruption industries.
Nuclear weaponry industries.
Well Chevrolet(pic 3)and Ford(pic 19)are still hangin on by a string and a prayer! That looks like the 2010 anniversary Mustang which has almost 600 horsepower and costs $59,000 dollars, almost as much as a Dodge Viper!
I wonder how many scratches those cars get from jelous people.Lotus cars have gotten ugly(pic 62).
The car in pic 93 has a Corvette engine in it.
I wonder why they buy these low sports cars in a country where you need at least an SUV to cross most roads!
I guess they keep them just to go from their rich houses in Kiev to downtown, make some exhibition, pick up a couple of girls and go back. Try driving them outside the city and you’ll feel your front bumper “shaving” the asphalt!
I’ve traveled quite long distances in Ukrainian roads, the only real highway is a small stretch from Kiev left side to airport, everything else is just bumpy road, which is becoming worse year after year as heavy trucks destroy everything.
That s true, but you forgot the road going to Odessa; 100 km are quite good
LOL there is CCCP under the license plate in pic 52.
In Ekaterinburg Russia I saw a license frame that read in god we trust which is a slogan on american money.
CLK 55 AMG: It is not very intelligent to block the oil cooler with the license plate.
Surely all bought with honestly earned money through perfectly legal channels !
Exotic cars won’t cath on fire by themselves, they just need a helping hand. 🙂
Workers of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains.
I was in Kyiv a few weeks ago and saw so many G-Wagon Mercedes. It seems to be the 4×4 of choice.
I think expensive cars are a waste of money!I like my loaded used Honda Accord with leather seats. That blue Saleen Mustang has a small license plate like it was just imported from north america.
Well people of the world bloging on ER,say what you want about the USA but those Mustangs are cool fun cars to drive! The Corvettes are fun too.
And the cover picture for this post is a Chevrolet Corvette!
I am not a arrogant american but this is a site about Russia 🙂
And… yet again. Ukraine does not belong to Russia. Despite you like it or not.
This site is about Russia and its former soviet republics.
all soviet countries are criminal entities – no surprise only criminals drive these cars. well, i’ve always hated soviets for what they did to my homeland. it would take ate least 100 years of penance from russia et al to gain an ounce of my sympathy. f u russia.
That Z8 is the only really special car in this row.
Damn that g55 is pretty unique
So many of these are kit cars or just plain fake. The genuine ones do make me very jealous.
You had me on the cool & expensive cars until the picture of the PT Cruiser Limo!
People here seem to forget that cars in Ukraine, as well as Russia, cost waaay more than your americal minds can imagine. In the US You can get a pretty nice bentley for a 100 grand, when in Kiev, you will have to pay twice as much. AND not as a loan, but in pure cash.
Your mothers industry
What wonderful counrty. While the corrupt mafia officials ride Ferraris and Lamborghinis, ordinary citizen of Ukraine are forced to survive on less than $1 a month, with a GDP per capita of less then that of Cuba. What great progress the Orange Revolution has brought to the people of Ukraine!
…$1 a day, that is.
awesome cars
Hi, the most of these cars buys via Bank, the remain via “Money washing”, thanks for the understanding.
some of them are using personal numbers, such as STALKER, heh
One of ferraris has it’s number plate upside down 🙂
