British Minotaur ready to slay fellow supercars

We love the fact that there's a cottage industry in Britain dedicated to producing small batches of interesting vehicles, but we're still trying to wrap our heads around the new Minotaur from Vision Sportscars. A mid-mounted Chevy V8 putting out 350 hp is always a welcome sight, as is a low 2,500-pound curb weight. A transaxle cribbed from Renault handles the shifting duties and sends the engine's prodigious thrust back to the rear wheels.

Lift the rear hatch and you'll be greeted by a stunning set of long-tube headers and exhaust bends that rival the old bundle-of-snakes design from the seminal GT40 from Ford. As far as we can tell, everything under the skin looks great. The big problem, though, is the skin itself. Penned by Greek designer John Forakis, the Minotaur looks to our eyes like a '90s-era kitcar and isn't exactly what we'd call pretty, or even purposeful.
